Grand Ivory Editorial

I recently had the honor of collaborating with an incredible group of vendors to style a shoot at The Grand Ivory. This beautiful venue is located just outside Dallas- Fort Worth and sits on 18 acres of pristine land. This venue was created with every detail in mind! There is an all white barn, a chapel, outdoor space, and cottages that can be used as bridal and groom suites.

Sami Kathryn photographed this editorial on film, which created a soft and dreamy look. She even captured some beautiful double exposures, and black and white images.

The Grand Ivory

We used the chapel for our first space, since it has beautiful white-washed pews and a view of the pond. This space is perfectly rustic, but modern, and can fit any theme wedding. For this shoot, we focused on the natural beauty of the space. The bride wore a soft lace gown, with sheer illusion back, and button details. The long train looked so elegant against the white floors, and the veil added a perfect touch of romance.

Ivory and Blush Details

The barn has 6500 Square feet of space, with ivory walls, ceilings and white washed cedar beams. It is the perfect blank canvas for you to create your dream wedding. My favorite part are the French doors that open to the barns porch, which allows you for indoor and outdoor seating. Alba Dahlia Floralcreated incredible centerpieces, that looked so beautiful in the space. Using gold vases, they created organic centerpieces, with anemones, thistle, and draping greenery to match the bouquet.

The colors for the shoot were pinks and greens, with a focus on natural greenery. When you have a space as beautiful as The Grand Ivory, you don’t want to over-do it! We chose a wooden farm table for the reception, with gold flatware to match the gold centerpieces. The bride and grooms chair featured a greenery garland, to let the couple stand out from the rest. Soft fabric draped over the table, with candles added for an evening glow. The sweet and simple cake was covered in flowers, including a floral topper.
