With wedding season right around the corner, there are so many beautiful trends I am excited to see! One of which is Wedding Wire and Pantone’s 2019 Wedding Colors of the Year! Wedding Wire predicts that couples will focus on color schemes instead of single color palettes, which makes planning a wedding much easier! When you have multiple colors in your wedding theme, you can do much more with your décor, bridesmaids, and details!

Stroke of Midnight

If you are looking to incorporate velvet into your wedding, “Stroke of Midnight” might be the color palette for you! This gorgeous jewel toned palette can be used in both Spring and Winter, with touches of fuchsia, deep plum, and navy blue. Add some soft lavender to add a Spring vibe. According to Wedding Wire, “Because of its old-meets-new vibe, we’re calling ‘Stroke of Midnight’ the must-have palette for couples who are dreaming of a vintage wedding theme.”

For this inspiration, I chose textured navy fabrics, including suede blue heels for the bride, and velvet for the tables. The stationery comes from a styled shoot I did last fall, that focused on navy blue with lots of greenery touches. For bridesmaids, I suggest allowing your girls to pick different shades of Stroke of Midnight, including deep burgundies, shades of purple, and dusty blue. You can keep the flowers soft and neutral or add touches of fuchsia and pink flowers for a pop of color.

If you are having a Spring wedding, I love adding a touch of pink or lavender to your flowers. If you choose to use this theme in the Winter, keep the colors deeper, with bold wine shades. This color mix goes perfectly with different metallics, including the metallic of 2019: Copper.
