While more of an accenting color than the foundation of a wedding color palette, the color black is taking center stage in this modern industrial black, white, and gold wedding inspiration.

The Details

My sister and law (and name twin!) Alexa of Adams Photography are obsessed with the color black. This inspired us to do a styled shoot around neutral colors emphasizing the black hue since you don’t see that very often.

The Hickory Street Annex was the perfect setting to bring the inspiration to life. From the natural light to the exposed white brick, the venue is stunning! To play off of the industrial vibe, light bulb escort cards, metal napkin holders, and Edison bulb lights come in to play. Although a bit more “edgy” that your typical string lighting, the bulb lights are so romantic! In addition, I love how the escort cards are unique and build off of the idea that it’s not something you usually see.

Two of my favorite things about this styled shoot have to be the engagement ring and the cake design by Butterfly Cakery. The ring is stunning design and the textured black decor on the bottom of the cake really added the perfect modern touch.

As if the decor and details weren’t stunning enough, the models also looked stunning! I am in love with the wedding dress from WED Bridal Boutique! The bride pulled it off seamlessly, complete with a gorgeous hairpiece. All the heart eyes going to this look! The groom also looked dashing in a sleek black tuxedo.

Although trendy, this design is also quite timeless. Because let’s be honest you can never go wrong with a black, white, and gold color palette! I’m so obsessed with how this modern industrial black, white and gold wedding inspiration all turned out. Not to mention, I loved working with this talented group of vendors!
