One of the first vendors every couple should book is their wedding venue. Some couples may already have their dream venue in mind, others may still be doing a little research. No matter where you fall, we’re sharing some information to help you be confident in choosing your wedding venue!
In a world where there are endless options of venues with each offering different things, there are three things we suggest to help narrow down your search. One main thing that can help narrow down your wedding venue search is the number of guests you’re planning on having. After you get an estimate you can then start searching for venues that can accommodate your number of guests and the aesthetics you’re searching for. From there, you can determine which venues may be within your budget and which venues you’d like to tour!
Once you’ve narrowed down your top choices, the next step is scheduling tours. During your tours be sure to make sure they have your date available and ask a lot of questions! After you’ve toured each venue on your list, you can then compare the pros and cons of each to make your final decision.
When you’ve made your final decision, you will then receive a contract to read through and sign. Make sure you actually read through everything and ask any more questions you have after doing so. Once the contract is signed and the deposit has been made, consider yourself booked!
As previously mentioned, I highly suggest searching and booking your wedding venue as soon as you have your wedding date in mind. Venues can book up super fast, so it’s better to secure your date early.
I suggest viewing 5 or less. This way you’re not overwhelmed with the possibilities. The more you view the greater chance you have at being disappointed in something with the venue you do end up going with.
Be sure to keep in mind what’s all included. Some places included everything (table, chairs, linens, etc.), but some require more out-of-house vendors. This can play a big role when determining your budget.
When touring your venues, have them tell you how a typical wedding day looks. This can help spark questions or even calm your nerves on the flow of the day.
Lucky for you, we’ve already broken down some important questions to ask your wedding venue before you book in a blog post. Click here to see all of them in detail!
