Tell us a bit about your background/career path.

Soon after graduating high school I entered the food and beverage arena where I learned that I enjoyed working with customers. I always enjoyed speaking with people so I thought Bartending would be best. After working as a bartender for many years; Charlie and I decided to try working private parties in 2012. This is when DFW Bartending was born. We worked backyard parties and small events for a few years while working a full time job and at the bars. In the fall of 2017 is when we entered the wedding market. Now we are traveling around Dallas/Fort Worth and beyond promoting and working DFW Bartending along with our bartending staff.

Can you provide an overview of what to expect during this process and timeline?

When a client reaches out to us about services, we talk them through their events. The main questions would be location, guest count, hours of service and beverage options. After we get answers to these questions we sent them an official estimate of services. When we come to an agreeance of costs we create a contract and ask for a small deposit to hold the date. In the weeks and months leading up to the event we stay in contact with the client and walk them through what is needed. Many times we create a liquor shopping list to help them with alcohol purchases for the event. When we finalize the beverages being served many times our clients ask us to create them a menu to display at the bar. Final payment for services are due 48 hours before the event. This allows the client to pay in chunks or as one big payment.

During the day of the event we will arrive 1 hour early for setup free of charge. The first thing we do is ice down anything that needs to be cold. After everything is iced down we proceed to prepare the bar for service.  Once the event is complete and last call has been made we pack up all of the unused alcohol for the client. After the client takes the alcohol we complete one last cleaning of the bar area. The trash is taken out and the floors are swept/mopped as it was when we arrived. As soon as we get clearance from the host venue representative we head out. The setup and cleanup are not added costs.   

What is the biggest piece of advice you’d give a bride in her selection process?

When choosing a Beverage Company please do some homework.  Check their Social Media accounts for pictures of prior jobs completed. Make sure to speak with the representative and ask what is all included in the quote.  Do not forget about ice!! I feel that ice is the most over looked item we deal with. You need to feel comfortable with the company since they will the people serving your guests. Don’t be afraid to ask many questions!

What’s your favorite drink to make?

I enjoy making Mojitos, Old Fashioned and Margaritas.  The drinks that I can provide my personal touch.

Do you provide alcohol?

We can provide the alcohol through a catering company.  We are in the process of working with TABC to be the supplier very soon!!  🙂

Our Bartender Packages include: Bartender(s), Tools, 1 hour of setup, Cleanup, Garnishments (Lemons/Limes), Bar Napkins, Straws, 10 oz Disposable glassware & Local Travel

Do you have rental items (bar, glassware, etc.)

Items available for rent are: Bars, Wine Barrels, Beer Tubs, Margarita Machines, Coolers, and Tables. We do rent Glassware, but it is provided by Events by Rental Solutions.
