Tell me about your love story!

Our love story began back in 2011 when we met on Match.com . On our first date, He took me to Trivia night at a local pub. I had a blast! We chatted all night about sports and travels. After that, we dated for a few months and then decided we should just be friends.  We stayed in touch and about a year later, at my birthday party, Edmund informed me that his dog Toby had a very serious back surgery he was recovering from. For some reason that really hit home and I ended up telling him that evening that I wanted to always be important enough to him that he would want to tell me about the serious things in his life. That night was when I knew he has a special place in my life. Additionally, he admitted that he felt the same way that night. From that night on, we have been together ever since.

Edmund proposed On July 25, 2018 at the Warwick Hotel Dallas. Overall, Dallas has a lot of great hotel bars and restaurants so we had been on this kick where we would try a new one out every chance we got. We had explored the Warwick bar, the Library, before and Edmund spontaneously booked us a dinner reservation at the restaurant in the Warwick and then we would go get a drink at the bar and listen to open mic night because we enjoyed it so much the first time.

Towards the end of dinner, Edmund stood up at the table, got down on a knee and proposed. It was so sweet of him and i could not believe how brave he was. The restaurant celebrated and the waiter brought us out champagne and chocolates. It was a perfect memory.

What are a few things you love about each other?

I love the way Edmund thinks. It is so different from me and it has opened my eyes to many ideas. I love that Edmund gives me the space to be me. He allows me to find myself without influencing my growth and choices. He lifts me up to be the best version of me. I love his quirky personality and I admire his integrity. He’s such a hard worker and gives everything 100%.

Where was your first kiss?

Our first kiss was outside of Peggy Sue’s restaurant in Dallas. He just finished walking me to my car, like the gentleman he is, and we leaned in and kissed each other. Trust me, this lasted for a while.

What is your favorite thing to do together?

Similarly, we love to travel , explore new cities, and watching or attend sporting events.

How did you come up with your wedding theme or color scheme?

Edmund wanted something classic to match his bow tie tuxedos. I wanted colors to be neutral because the church has beautiful stained windows full of color. That is how navy, white, gold and light blush came about.

Tell me about any special tradition or sentimental things you’re adding to the wedding.

First, we want to make sure Edmund’s mom is remembered by placing a rose in her seat and mentioning her in the program. Secondly, we want to try and do a unity candle. Lastly, we are going to write private vows to each other to give prior to walking down the aisle.

Any wedding planning tips for future couples?

My biggest advice would be to try to stay on budget. Its only 1 day. of the rest of forever together.

What was one of the most stressful parts of wedding planning?

We really struggled with the dreaded guest list. Particularly, who was getting invited and who was not. In addition, catering was hard as well.

Describe your wedding in 3 words.

Timeless, adventurous and romantic

What are some of your favorite aspects of your wedding?

First, our families being there to support us. Secondly, the stain glass windows in the church where we are having the ceremony. Thirdly, our travel theme we have going throughout the day. Lastly, our private vow exchange

Where are you going on your honeymoon?

We could not decide for the longest time where we were going to go, Thailand/Singapore or Italy. As a matter of fact, we really didn’t decide until a month before our trip! Similarly, we both wanted adventure and to go to a place we have not gone before, which was Thailand/Singapore but Italy is just so romantic!
